Special COVID-19 UPDATE
COVID-19 Safety Guidelines For New Hope Church
We are committed to ensuring a safe return to public worship. To do that, New Hope’s leaders have developed COVID-19 safety guidelines, in accordance with NYS and the CDC; these guidelines must be followed by everyone entering New Hope’s facilities.
Please maintain 6 feet of distance from people of other households.
Face masks that cover your nose and mouth will be required the entire time you are indoors. Our leadership asks everyone to wear a mask, even when sitting indoors, as the best and safest practice. You may have a different personal conviction, however we ask that when at the church everyone follow this as a way to love each other and reduce the spread of germs. When outdoors, you must also wear a mask if 6 feet cannot be maintained between you and individuals outside your household. Children under the age of 3 are not required to wear a mask.
Please make use of no-touch hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the building.
We have organized the flow of foot traffic so you can enter through the main doors and exit through doors located in the synagogue’s social hall. Windows are open to allow increased ventilation.
Only one person or members from one household should use the rest rooms at a time. Please use signs indicating “occupied” and “vacant” to show availability.
Reserving your place for worship
Please go online to reserve your place for each Sunday worship service and indicate the number of people with you. Our ministry team will assign seats based on the number of people in your household with adequate distance from others. Those who do not reserve their place in advance will need to wait to be seated. Space is limited.
We discourage members of different households from holding hands, shaking hands, hugging or kissing. We encourage head nods or air high-fives.
At this time, we will not be printing or distributing bulletins but will provide digital bulletins that can be downloaded from the church website.
We ask that the congregation wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times, even while indoors, and even while singing during the worship service.
If you require food for medical reasons, you may bring individual, pre-packaged food or beverages but must maintain at least 6 feet between yourself and others while eating. We will not serve refreshments during this time.
We ask everyone to bring a Bible to the service each Sunday as we have removed shared Bibles from the seats. If you do not have a Bible, we will give you one to keep and reuse.
Greeters will provide pre-packaged communion elements. Everyone will remain seated for communion and nothing will be passed.
An offering box is in the room so donations can be dropped off without passing baskets, our preference is online giving or via mail (675 Brookside Court, Westbury 11590).

Join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am.
Our home is at 675 Brookside Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590 where we rent a portion of Temple Sholom’s building.
Come on by early to enjoy some coffee and say hi before the service.
Our New Hope Kids program offers childcare and teaching classes during service. Little ones (infants and/or Pre-K children) can be signed in and dropped off with our Child care on your way to the sanctuary. Children, grades K thru 6 will join us for the music worship portion of the service and will be dismissed before the message. Teens participate in our service and are encouraged to join in our Student Ministries on select Sunday evenings at 6-8pm.
Each week we worship in song, in prayer, in listening to God’s Word, and in coming to the Table of the Lord. We interact with the wisdom of the Bible in a way that’s easy to understand, even if you’ve never been to church.
After service our Prayer Team will be available for anyone who needs.
P.S. Remember to sign out and pick up your children after the service!
